Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EVHUBI collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the app to find charging stations, manage EV details, save stations, create station listings, scan charge codes, and track charging activity in the Philippines.

1. Philippine Privacy Framework

EVHUBI is designed to follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and relevant National Privacy Commission issuances. We process personal data only for declared, specified, and legitimate purposes, and we aim to collect only data that is adequate, relevant, and necessary for app features.

Where a feature asks for device permission, such as location, camera, or notifications, you may decline or later withdraw that permission through your device settings. Some app features may be limited when a permission is disabled.

2. Personal Data We Process

  • Account data, including your email address, Firebase user ID, sign-in method, authentication tokens, and account status.
  • Profile data, including your name, phone number, and email address shown in your EVHUBI profile.
  • Vehicle data, including your primary vehicle, plate number, and connector type so stations and operators can support charging sessions.
  • Location data, including your device location when permitted, map searches, station coordinates, distance estimates, and preferred map app.
  • Station and operator data, including station name, address, coordinates, pricing, connector details, support contacts, hours, availability, and station management records.
  • Charging activity data, including selected station, operator, connector, charge code, session status, energy, duration, totals, timestamps, and notes.
  • Camera scan data when an operator scans a QR or charge code. EVHUBI reads the code value for the session flow and does not need to store camera images.
  • Device and app data, including push notification tokens, app update status, theme preference, diagnostic events, and Firebase Analytics events where supported.

3. Why We Use Data

  • To create and secure your account, keep you signed in, recover passwords, and delete accounts when requested.
  • To show nearby EV charging stations, distance labels, station details, directions handoff, saved stations, and map preferences.
  • To let users and operators create, update, and manage charging stations and station transactions.
  • To generate and scan charge codes, verify profile and vehicle details, and record charging activity.
  • To send relevant operational notifications about charging activity when notifications are enabled.
  • To maintain app security, prevent misuse, troubleshoot issues, improve the app, and comply with Philippine legal obligations.

4. Sharing and Service Providers

EVHUBI may share data with service providers that host, authenticate, store, or operate app features, including Firebase and Google services. When you choose a navigation handoff, destination details may be opened in your selected map app such as Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps.

Charging transaction details may be visible to the station operator and the user involved in the session. We may also disclose data when required by law, a lawful order, or a regulator, or when needed to protect users, operators, EVHUBI, and the public.

EVHUBI does not sell personal data.

5. Storage, Retention, and Deletion

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain account records, resolve disputes, meet legal or accounting requirements, and protect the app. Account deletion removes your main profile, vehicle record, and charge-code lookup where available.

Some transaction, security, backup, or compliance records may remain for a limited period when retention is required or reasonably necessary. We minimize retained data where practical.

6. Security and Cross-Border Processing

EVHUBI uses reasonable organizational, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect accounts, Firestore records, authentication tokens, and app communications from unauthorized processing.

Our service providers may process or store data outside the Philippines. EVHUBI remains accountable for personal data transferred or processed through providers used to operate the app.

7. Your Data Privacy Rights

Under Philippine data privacy law, you may have the right to be informed, access your data, object or withdraw consent where applicable, rectify inaccurate data, request erasure or blocking, data portability, claim damages, and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

To exercise these rights, use the app account controls where available or contact EVHUBI support. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Contact

For privacy requests, concerns, or complaints, contact EVHUBI support at support@evhubi.com. You may also seek guidance or file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission when appropriate.
